Forter Castle was built originally built in 1560 and then destroyed in 1640. Katharine Pooley and her Father Robert have gone to great lengths to restore Forter Castle back to its former glory. Every detail has been carefully thought out from build to design installation.  Forter Castle is a wonderful location to celebrate special occasions such as weddings, birthdays, anniversary’s etc. but equally a wonderfully romantic destination or a place to gather with friends and family. The castle has given the Pooley family much joy over the years and it is with great pride they are able to offer guests a chance to rent the castle for whatever the need maybe after all this is now your Highland Retreat.
