About Us

Born in Hertfordshire, schooled in Oxfordshire and France, Katharine hails from a family of adventurers and aeronautical enthusiasts and her passion for exploration has been a lifelong inspiration. An intrepid traveller, she has visited more than 150 countries and, along the way, has summited many of the world’s highest mountains; driven a team of dogs on a sled to the North Pole; and crossed the Sahara Desert on horseback, amongst other exciting adventures.

Established over 20 years ago, Katharine’s London-based design studio creates exquisite designs around the world.  Recently named as “British Interior Designer of the Decade, Katharine leads an international team of interior designers, architects and interior architects. 

Katharine’s work with Laurence Guinness and The Childhood Trust on the charity program ‘Decorate a Child’s Life’, working to transform the lives of children living in poverty in London, is ongoing and remains an important element of the Studios work.

Her travels around the world have inspired her in many ways: in eclectic homewares and design details, in sourcing treasures and keepsakes and of course, the importance of the feeling we all have when returning home. In this, she has aimed to create holiday homes that feel like an extension of ones being, that even though guests may not have visited the location before, they feel they instantly belong. Everything has been meticulously considered so guests are never wanting, or looking too far for the things they desire. From hand selected linens, to specially placed accessories and well-equipped kitchens, lounges and outdoor area, everything has been designed for the individuals ultimate comfort and sense of belonging.

Katharine has combined her love of travel and expertise in all things design to create three wholesome and impeccably magical  getaways across the UK.
